The latest member of H&M’s ever expanding family has firmly landed on Regent Street with a flagship store for & Other Stories. Like the cooler sister to COS the store is made up of two floors and takes on a concept store vibe with womenswear, accessories, lifestyle and beauty.
Clothing and accessories take up predominant space mixing Skandinavian minimal style shifts and basics with more statement pieces in leather and denim as well as an impressive array of shoes with their own brand sitting alongside vintage Nike’s.
The beauty department is where things switch up a bit. This is no usual high street store with a make up counter. Everything sits out for you to play with on a giant communal dressing table from eye shadows and liners to lipsticks and contour creams along side their own range of brushes, which have enough variety to cover all aspects and usage.
With some fairing better than others, over all it’s really good value for money with strong pigments and easy to use textures and formulas (their liners go on smooth and seriously don’t budge). Even better than that its not just the only brand they have there.
Smaller independent brands such as Eyeko, Stop The Water and ThisWorks also have their stand alone sections bringing in brands which were previously only in niche stores or online, even more products for you to explore!
And if all is isn’t enough then you can pick up a copy of the gorgeously cult magazine Self Service and get inspired on the bus home.
